You can find a few tips about how to make a good poster here. There are several tutorials and guidelines available on making good posters, e.g.
- Creating Effective Poster Presentations , by George Hess, Kathryn Tosney and Leon Liegel
- Writing and Presenting a Scientific Poster , from The American Psychological Society
Preparing your oral presentation
Your oral presentation / data blitz presentation should not last longer than 10 minutes in total:
- 7 min for the presentation
- 3 min for questions
Please bring your presentation on a USB key in ppt or pdf format; the talk sessions do not allow changes from one laptop to another between presenters! Test your presentation with the technical staff well in advance of the talk session you are in; preferentially in the morning before the start of the meeting.
Please bear in mind the multidisciplinary background of the NeuroLéman community members when preparing your presentation; put your topic into a graspable context and introduce abbreviations and expert terminology! This will also increase your chances to be selected for the best poster/presentation award of the Jean-Falk Vairant foundation!
