Fonds Jean Falk-Vairant

Créé en souvenir de Jean Falk-Vairant, neurobiologiste décédé à 29 ans dans un accident.
Le Fonds Jean Falk-Vairant a pour objectif de contribuer à la formation de jeunes chercheurs dans le domaine des neurosciences fondamentales et cliniques, notamment sur les mécanismes impliqués dans les maladies du système nerveux. Le Fonds attribue des subsides pour de brefs stages de formation en neurosciences. Le montant d’un subside est de l’ordre de 2000.- CHF environ.
Les subsides sont octroyés à de jeunes chercheurs de la région lémanique voulant se perfectionner à l’extérieur, ou à de jeunes chercheurs étrangers désirant se former dans la région lémanique.
Le Fonds attribue aussi des « Prix Jean Falk-Vairant » pour les meilleures présentations à la Réunion annuelle du Reseau NeuroLéman.
Dans certains cas, le Fonds peut aussi contribuer à la participation active à un congrès, notamment pour de jeunes post-doc. Pour ces subventions de voyage, veuillez respecter les deux dates limites de soumission par an (1er mars et 1er septembre).

The Fund Jean Falk-Vairant aims to contribute to the training of young researchers in the field of basic and clinical neurosciences, including the mechanisms involved in diseases of the nervous system. The Fund awards grants for short training and research stays in neuroscience labs. The amount of the subsidy is around 2000.- CHF.
The subsidies are awarded to young researchers of the Lemanic area (Lake of Geneva region) who want research experience outside their research laboratory, or to young foreign researchers wishing to train in the Lemanic region.
The Fund also attributes the “Prix Jean-Falk-Vairant” for the best presentations at the Annual Meeting of the NeuroLéman Network and Doctoral Schools.
In certain cases, the fund can also provide financial support for the active participation to a conference, especially for young post-docs. For these travel grants, please respect the two submission deadlines per year (March 1 & September 1).
