Jean-Arthur Olive is visiting !

Jean-Arthur Olive, a postdoctoral research scientist at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (Columbia University) will be visiting our group from on September 5 to 9th September 2016, and available for discussion in Géopolis-3639!

His research investigates the thermo-mechanical evolution of tectonic plate boundaries by means of computational and analytical modeling.

School on Seismology beyond the textbooks and General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission

Leonardo Colavitti will participate to an Advanced School on “Seismology beyond textbooks” organised by the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) from August 29th to September 3rd in Miramare, Trieste, Italy. At this link are the program details of the School.

The week after he will be at the 35th General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission (ESC) that will be held from 4th to 11th September 2016 in Trieste, Italy (The website of the conference is here).

On Tuesday September 6 at 12:15 p.m., Leonardo will be talking about Local earthquake tomography in the junction between Southeastern Alps and Dinarides using the seismic data of the CE3RN. Here you can find the abstract of  the planned talk.
