Vous le savez, trouver un financement de recherche relève plutôt du parcours du combattant que de la promenade champêtre. Si l’UNIL propose aujourd’hui un accompagnement et un panorama bien fourni pour tout ce qui concerne les financements publics, il est beaucoup plus difficile de s’y retrouver dans les offres de financement privé. Et pourtant, elles existent ! Mais l’information est souvent peu disponible ou difficile à obtenir.
L’ACIDUL a donc entamé un projet visant à répertorier les demandes de bourses, prix et financements privés qui ont été faites ces cinq dernières années par des doctorant·es et des docteur·es sans poste permanent de l’UNIL. Nous cherchons à identifier l’offre qui est vraiment disponible ainsi que le taux de succès des demandes.
Aussi, si vous avez fait une demande de financement
- ces cinq dernières années (entre 2017 et 2021) ;
- à une organisation de type fondation, association, entreprise, société savante, ONG, etc. ;
- alors que vous étiez non titulaire ;
- pour travailler à l’UNIL ;
- qui a abouti ou non…
…nous vous serions très reconnaissant·e·s de prendre deux minutes pour répondre au questionnaire.
ACIDUL réalise ce projet en collaboration avec le Graduate Campus et avec le soutien du Service Recherche de l’UNIL. Les données récoltées sont anonymes et confidentielles et serviront à construire une base de données répertoriant les organisations sollicitées. Les résultats seront présentés sous forme agrégée (nombre de sollicitations, aboutissement, montant moyen obtenu). Le questionnaire sera clôturé le 31 mars 2022.

We all know that looking for research funding often resembles an obstacle course rather than a quiet walk in the park. The University of Lausanne (UNIL) offers both support and a register of public funding opportunities. But finding one’s way through private funding offers remains challenging. These offers certainly exist, but information about them can be difficult to find.
ACIDUL has launched a project to list the applications for scholarships, prizes or private funding that have been submitted in the past five years by PhD students and mid-level staff that do not have a permanent contract at the UNIL. Our goal is to identify which organizations actually fund research at this level and to discover the success rate of applications.
Therefore, if you have applied for funding
- in the past five years (between 2017 and 2021);
- from an organization such as a foundation, an association, a private business, a scholarly society, an NGO, etc.;
- without having a permanent contract at the UNIL;
- with the aim to work at the UNIL;
- that you obtained or failed to obtain…
…we would be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete our survey.
This project is a joint initiative between ACIDUL and the Graduate Campus as well as the Service Recherche. The collected data will be anonymous and confidential. It will be used to build a database that registers the organizations that have been solicited. The results of the survey will be presented in an aggregated form (number of applications, outcome, average amount obtained). The survey will be closed on 31st March 2022.
