Sina Rüeger finished in 2008 her diploma degree in Data Analysis and Process Design at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur, which was then followed by a Master of Science in Engineering degree at the same university. In parallel to her masters degree she worked part-time as a research assistant at the Institute of Data Analysis and Process Design in Winterthur, where she contributed in projects and teaching exercises or tutorials in statistics. From 2012 to 2013 she was working for the Division of Biostatistics of the University of Zurich (now part-time). In February 2013 she started to work as an intern, from October 2013 as a PhD student, in the Statistical Genetics Group, applying her knowledge in statistics to infectious disease genetics and bioinformatics.
