Tabea joined the group in November 2020 as a visiting researcher funded by a Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellowship. Her project aims to study the genetic underpinnings of mental health outcomes in the context of substance use, particularly cannabis use.
During her PhD at King’s College London and her postdoctoral work at University College London, she developed a strong interest in the application of causal inference methods, particularly genetically informed methods, to deepen our understanding of the aetiology of mental health problems. Tabea has completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology in Germany (University of Hildesheim) and completed her Master degree in Mental Health Studies at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neurosciences, King’s College London.
