My name is Milka Zakja, and I am a biomedical engineering undergraduate student from Albania with a passion for computational biology. I am particularly fascinated by how this field combines various disciplines, including mathematical modelling and computational algorithms, to investigate complex biological mechanisms. Currently, as an intern at UNIL, I am exploring the correlation between drug-induced protein changes and patient side effects through data-driven research. This project has provided me with the exciting opportunity to develop my skills in data analysis and biomedical research. Outside of my studies, I enjoy playing the guitar and sketching, but most of all, sharing meaningful moments with friends and family.
