Flow-R

Flow-R (Flow path assessment of gravitational hazards at a Regional scale) is a distributed empirical model for regional susceptibility assessments of debris flows. It has been developed at the University of Lausanne. Flow-R is now available free of charge for Windows and Linux under www.flow-r.org. This new website brings together downloads, the user manual and the FAQ.

FlowR

The model was successfully applied to different case studies in various countries with variable data quality. It was also found relevant to assess other natural hazards such as rockfall, snow avalanches and floods. It allows for automatic source area delineation and for the assessment of the propagation extent. The choices of the datasets and the algorithms are open to the user, which makes it compliant for various applications and dataset availability.
