About me

I joined UNIL’s Hydrometeorology and Surface Process Group after graduating from Beijing Normal University with a Master’s degree in Physical Geography. My PhD thesis, “Future changes in rainfall properties and their effects on urban flooding”, focusing on Beijing, will contribute to the project “Rainfall and Floods in Future Cities”. It will contribute to the knowledge of urban modification of heavy rainfall properties and forecast of future changes in city floods. We will be able to use the scientific knowledge gained in this research to prevent disasters and mitigate urban flooding in the future.
