After almost two years struggling with Covid-19, Tiggi, a PhD student in the Risk Group at the University of Lausanne, eventually succeeded in gathering field data in Indonesia as part of a rockfall study in June 2021 and  July 2022.

The acquisitions included mapping and measuring rock fractures, collecting LiDAR data (both TLS and handheld), performing detailed DTM on a regular basis using a UAV, and testing the field samples. Fieldwork was also assisted by students from the Geology department at the Islamic University of Riau as place where Tiggi was working.
