Research Interest
My research focuses both on arthropod evolution and exceptional preservation throughout the use and development of advanced imaging techniques, particularly trace elemental mapping, allowing me to visualize new anatomical characters in fossils and/or to decipher the chemical and structural changes that affect organisms during and after burial. I completed my PhD at the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (Paris), and was then successively a postdoctoral researcher at the SOLEIL synchrotron and the European research platform IPANEMA dedicated to ancient materials (Gif-sur-Yvette, France), and a SNSF researcher at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). After a short-term position as research engineer at the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, I am now working as a junior lecturer (“Premier assistant”) at the University of Lausanne since February 2023.
