Welcome Visiting PhD Student Xiong Tang

Xiong Tang is a PhD student from Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, whose research focuses on granular flow, landslide dynamics and numerical modelling with the material point method (MPM). He will spend one year as a visiting PhD student in the RISK Group at the institute of earth sciences, UNlL under the supervision of Prof. Michel Jaboyedoff. During this period, he will focus on the numerical modelling of landslide motion processes and underlying movement mechanism.
