Hello, my name is Benedikt, and I am studying Civil Engineering at Technical University of Munich (TUM). My studies focus on Risk Analysis, Geotechnics and Mechanics. Additionally, I am collecting basic knowledge in Geology and Geophysics through classes at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU).
Geological hazards, such as earthquakes and landslides, affecting the built environment and communities drive my motivation in specialising towards Risk Analysis and Geosciences. Joining the RISK Group at UNIL is therefore the perfect match, enabling me to grow both professionally and personally. During the following five months I will, amongst others, contribute to stability analysis of slopes using the limit equilibrium method and finite element method in 2 and 3D.
