A Landslide happened on 30 January 2021 in Ollon area (Swiss Prealps). This mass movement in gypsum rocks cut a road and reached vineyards close to residences. This event is next to previous landslides that occurred in 2018 and 2020. Few days later, the group Risk of UNIL went to the site to acquire terrestrial LiDAR scans and drone pictures, to collect samples from the scarp and deposit areas. Various analyzes will be done to understand the triggering mechanisms, effects of slope and unfavorable lithologies, climatic conditions, and the possible effects of forest cover and runoff. This project is conducted in collaboration with the natural hazards unit of the canton of Vaud.
