Research Interests
Rizhong’s research interests mainly focus on the application of deep learning in medical image analysis.
Short Bio
Rizhong was born in Guilin, China, in 2001. He is expected to receive his B.Eng. degree in Computer Science and Technology from Tongji University, Shanghai, China, in July 2024. Currently, he is an exchange student at the Center for Biomedical Imaging (CIBM) jointly at EPFL and UNIL-CHUV, supervised by Prof. Jean-Philippe Thiran (LTS5), Dr. Meritxell Bach Cuadra (MIAL, CIBM, UNIL-CHUV), and Mr. Hamza Kebiri (MIAL, UNIL). His research project at MIAL aims to develop deep learning algorithms for intra-voxel fiber estimation in the developing brain using diffusion MR imaging. This project is also done in collaboration with Dr. Davood Karimi and Prof. Ali Gholipour from Boston Children’s Hospital. Before this, he interned at the CAD Research Center, Tongji University.
