Actions contre les coupes budgétaires
Le Conseil fédéral a annoncé des coupes de 460 millions de francs par an dès 2026 dans les hautes écoles et organismes de financement de la recherche, tandis que le Conseil d’Etat vaudois a annoncé cet été une réduction de 24 millions de francs du budget de l’UNIL en 2026. Si ces coupes sont acceptées, leur impact sera majeur : suppression de postes, réduction des activités d’enseignement et de recherche, hausse probable des taxes d’études.
Il est urgent que nous agissions toutes et tous. Chaque voix compte.

Assemblée générale d’ACIDUL
Nous nous réjouissons de vous retrouver à notre prochaine AG, qui aura lieu le 22 octobre à 17h00 à Géopolis, salle 1628. Un ordre du jour vous parviendra prochainement. L’AG est aussi l’occasion de renouveler le Comité et d’élire les représentant·es du corps intermédiaire dans les commissions consultatives de la Direction. En cas d’intérêt, écrivez-nous !
Nouveau barème pour les doctorant·es sur fonds externes
La Direction a récemment annoncé une amélioration salariale pour les doctorant·es sur fonds externes sous contrat UNIL. Nous nous réjouissons de ce changement, qui répond en partie aux demandes que nous avions formulées dans la pétition lancée en 2023. Notre courrier du 22 juillet a probablement contribué à la décision du CHUV et d’Unisanté de s’aligner sur la décision de l’UNIL à la fin de l’été. L’application de la Directive 1.31 dans ces deux institutions continue toutefois de poser problème, d’où des interventions récentes au Grand Conseil (voir ici et ici). ACIDUL continuera d’oeuvrer pour une application égalitaire et transparente de cette directive pour l’ensemble des doctorant-es du canton.

Vous êtes doctorant·e et rencontrez une mauvaise passe financière ? Vous pouvez adresser une demande de soutien ponctuel à acidul@unil.ch. Le règlement d’octroi du FSD se trouveici.
Soutien individuel
N’hésitez pas à nous contacter pour du soutien et des conseils si vous rencontrez des problèmes à l’UNIL (contrat de travail, cahier des charges, conflit, harcèlement, etc.). Vous pouvez nous écrire, nous appeler ou remplir ce formulaire, en toute confidentialité.
Droits au chômage, arrêt maladie et/ou accident, et permis de séjour
Vous trouverez des informations sur vos droits au chômage et à l’arrêt maladie/accident sur notre site. La prochaine présentation sur les droits au chômage aura lieu le 5 mai 2026 à 17h00. Cette année, nous aurons aussi le plaisir d’organiser une présentation (en anglais) sur les permis de séjour le 31 mars 2026 à 17h00. Des informations à ce sujet peuvent déjà être trouvées ici.

We hope that your semester has started off well! Below, you will find the latest news from the association that looks out for your rights and interests at UNIL.
Actions against budget cuts
The Conseil fédéral has announced cuts amounting to 460 million francs per year from 2026 onwards in universities and research funding organisations such as the SNSF, while the Conseil d’Etat of Vaud announced this summer a 24-million-franc reduction to UNIL’s 2026 budget. If these cuts are approved, their impact will be major: job losses, reduced teaching and research activities, and a likely increase in tuition fees for students.
It is urgent that we all take action. Every voice counts.
- Sign our petition as soon as possible
- Join us on 1st October at 12pm for a rally in front of Amphimax and for the conference organised by the FAE at 6:30pm (Amphimax 351, registration required)
- Join us on 1st October at 5pm on the Federal Square in Bern (collective departure with the 3:17pm train from Lausanne)
- Join the rally on 2nd October at 6pm against the cantonal budget cuts, at Montbenon, in the centre of Lausanne

General Assembly
We look forward to seeing you at the next ordinary General Assembly, which will take place on 22nd October at 5pmin room 1628 in Géopolis. An agenda will be sent to you soon. The GA, which will be held in French and in English, is also an opportunity to renew ACIDUL’s committee and elect mid-level staff representatives in the commissions consultatives de la Direction. New salary scale for PhD students on external funds
A few months ago, the rectorate announced a salary improvement for PhD students on external funds under UNIL contracts. We welcome this change, which partly responds to the demands we made in the petition we launched in 2023. Our letter of 22nd July probably contributed to the decision of CHUV and Unisanté to align themselves with UNIL’s decision at the end of the summer. However, the application of the Directive 1.31 in both institutions continues to cause problems, leading to recent interventions in the Grand Conseil (see here and here). ACIDUL will continue to work for fair and transparent application of this directive for all PhD students in the canton.

Unemployment rights, sick leave and/or accident leave, and residence permits
You can find information about your rights regarding unemployment and sick/accident leave on our website. The next presentation on unemployment rights will take place on 5th May 2026 at 5pm. This year, we are also pleased to organise a presentation (in English only) on residence permits on 31st March 2026 at 5pm. Information on this subject can already be found here.
