WELCOME TO YOUR FUTURE : CENTENARIANS OF SWITZERLAND

What is life like at 100 years old here in Switzerland? The exhibition Welcome to Your Future : Centenarians of Switzerland brings together two complementary perspectives. On the one hand, a personal approach: 28 portraits and life histories that make centenarians visible and gives a voice to their experiences—their joys, losses, relationships, and daily lives in the past and in the present. On the other hand, a scientific approach: presenting the results of the SWISS100 project, an interdisciplinary research initiative that sheds light on the realities of extreme old age beyond common stereotypes. Health, memory, social relationships, quality of life, and psychological strengths are presented in an accessible way to understand what it means to reach 100 years today in Switzerland.

Between images of yesterday and today, personal testimonies and data, science and humanity interact. Welcome to the lives of centenarians !

The exhibition is a cooperation of the SWISS100 Team with the art director Anna-Rita Stoffel and the photographer Jos Schmid. It is funded by an AGORA Project of the Swiss National Science Foundation.
