Research interests

Since completing my Bachelor’s degree in Physics, I have been curious about water-related phenomena and the physics of environmental systems. My current Master’s thesis focuses on the surface layer of Lake Geneva. It investigates how atmospheric forcings determine the physical structure and dynamics of Lake Geneva’s surface layer, primarily based on measurements I carry out on the LéXPLORE platform.

As part of my Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences with a major in Atmosphere and Climate, I have explored topics ranging from atmospheric processes, weather and cloud physics, to lacustrine sedimentation, physical processes in lakes and rivers, and groundwater flow. I particularly enjoy exploring these topics through experimentation, both in the laboratory and in the field:  to determine what to measure and how, to identify the limitations and challenges involved, and to understand what the measurements can reveal about the underlying processes.

2024 – present : Master of Science in Environmental Sciences, major in Atmosphere and Climate, ETH, Zürich, Switzerland. Semester project in Limnogeology (“Paleoclimate and paleoenvironment reconstruction from a sediment core of Lake Taney (Switzerland)”), Sedimentology Group, EAWAG, Dübendorf.

2023 – 2024 : Internship in Metrology, Viteos SA, Neuchâtel, Switzerland

2020 – 2024 : Bachelor of Science in Physics, EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland. Semester project in experimental Physics and Limnology (“Lake Geneva suspended particulate matter: characteristics and dynamics”)
