I am a PhD student at the Lemanic Neuroscience Doctoral School. Born in the Switzerland alps, I moved to Lausanne where I obtained a BSc and a MSc in Life Sciences Engineering from EPFL, with a specialization on Computational Biology. My neuroscience journey started with epigenetics and its implications in memory formation. Later on, my interests grew into biophysical modeling of neural networks and biomedical imaging. This led me to spend one year on a new directional Deep Brain Stimulation (dDBS) electrode at Aleva Neurotherapeutics SA as well as at the University of Luxembourg. More specifically, I implemented a pipeline that processes computed tomography images to infer the best stimulation parameters for dDBS programming. This drastically reduces the time of the programming sessions that the patients have to undergo when the deviced is turned on.
Very interested in non-invasive imaging techniques, programming and biophysical modelling, I am currently pursuing a PhD at the Microstructure Mapping Lab of the Department of Radiology of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV). My project aims at developing a diffusion functional magnetic resonance imaging (dfMRI) simulation framework to study the apparent diffusion coefficient fluctuations linked with microstructure deformations induced by neuronal activity, and linking the simulation results with experimental findings.
