About us
The Medical Image Analysis Laboratory (MIAL) founded in 2011 is led by Dr. Meritxell Bach Cuadra, Senior Lecturer (MER) and Privat Docent (PD) at the University of Lausanne (UNIL) and is hosted in the Radiology Department of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois, two of the founding institutions of the CIBM Center for Biomedical Imaging.
We believe that an appropriate use of medical imaging requires a multidisciplinary approach. Thus, we develop advanced methods for medical image processing in close collaborations with medical doctors and industrial partners. We have several application-oriented projects in the fields of Radiology, Neurology, Neuro-surgery, Oncology and Psychiatry.
