Chronology of the lab since 2017

June 2020 – Ana Davitkova, Agron Idrizi and Florian Cédric Terrier have successfully defended their MScIS theses. Congratulations and good luck on their next adventure!

May 2020 – We presented at [Swiss] CHI’20. Check the slides and recorded stream.

May 2020Alessandro Silacci joins our lab to conduct research on persuasive technology and physical activity. Alessandro is in co-supervision with Maurizio Caon (School of Management – FR)

March 2020Lahari Goswami started her PhD with out team. She will be focusing on learning technologies and how to design support for learning environments.

March 2020 – Lucas Rodrigues leaves the lab to pursue his next adventure. Good luck!

February 2020 – Welcome to Kavous who just started as a research scientist in the lab!

January 2020 – Miléna Engelhard has successfully defended her MScIS thesis. Congratulations and good luck with her next adventure.

November 2019 – Together with Kévin Huguenin, we received funding for 1 year from the Swiss National Science Foundation to work on addressing multi-party privacy conflicts (NudgeMPC).

September 2019 – Our lab director got a mention on September’s edition of ICTjournal. He gave his opinion on  the role of technological nudges.

September 2019 – James Tyler joins our lab as a PhD Student.

September 2019 – Clarina Sierro has successfully defended her MScIS thesis.

June 2019 – Vanessa Morson and Giacomo Longhi have successfully defended their MScIS thesis.

May 2019 – We have an open Postdoc position on Privacy and Human-Computer Interaction.

January 2019 – Clément Benkada has successfully defended his master’s thesis: Création d’outils numériques dédiés à la recherche d’emploi : comprendre les chômeurs pour les garder motivés.

December 2018 – Lucas Siqueira Rodrigues joins our lab as a PhD Student researching on Persuasive Computing to support Job-seekers.

November 2018 – Our paper Towards Usable Checksums paper was featured in the morning paper blog (check the entry here)

November 2018 – We have an open PhD position on  Learning Technologies.

August 2018 – Zied El Houki, Wilson Ngo, and Jonas Brun have defended their MScIS theses successfully.

June 2018 – Luca Reut, Tolulope Omuku, and Zineb Hamdi have defended their MScIS theses successfully.

May 2018 – We have an open PhD position on  Persuasive Computing to support Job-seekers.

April 2018 – Our research lab director featured in PME Magazine January-February 2018 Edition. Discussing sharing economy and interactive services for older users.

February 2018 – Khaled Lala is joining us this spring to work on his Master Thesis. He will be studying the reason behind the adoption of and adherence to healthy eating apps.

February 2018 – We got a short paper accepted for A Short Workshop on Next Steps Towards Long Term Self Tracking at CHI’18.

September 2017 – Luca Reut joins our lab to begin his master thesis on the topic of Personality and social characteristics of non-technology users during life-changing events. Also, Tolulope Omuku joins our lab to begin her master thesis work on the topic surveying persuasive apps.

February 2017 – We got a short paper accepted for Mobile Interface Design with Older Adults Workshop at CHI’17.

January 2017 – Gabriela Villalobos-Zúñiga joins our lab as a PhD Student researching on persuasive applications for health and wellbeing.
