Brief Bio

I’m a Marie-Curie post-doctoral fellow at MySpaceLab. Within an embodied perspective, my projects (“VirtualSync”) aims to investigate the self-awareness of memory function in neurological patients using virtual reality-based tools.

I obtained my PhD in Psychology at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in  2015 with a thesis aimed at investigating the role of spatial processing for the cognitive system. Then, I collaborated with the same University for two years as post-doctoral fellow and with the Applied Technology for Neuropsychology Lab within the Istituto Auxologico Italiano (Milan, Italy) on several national and international projects exploiting the potential of advanced technologies for mental health.

My main research interests concern the relationship between space, body and memory, also in pathological conditions (e.g., neurodegenerative diseases) and the use of virtual reality as an “embodied tool” for investigating high-level cognitive processes.
