I am fascinated by human brain development, in particular by maturation trajectories that end up in cognitive functions’ acquisition in normal subjects and in pathologic setting. In collaboration with Pr. Dr. med. Hagmann, I am analysing brain diffusion MRI to understand evolution of hippocampal structural connectivity in childhood. I am specifically interested in effects of prenatal medications on further brain development.
I am a medical doctor, specialized in radiology, in training in diagnostic neuroradiology at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) from 2018. In October 2019 I became member of the steering committee of the “Young Clinical Neuroscientists” within the Swiss Federation of Clinical Neurosciences.
Previously, I worked as attending physician in interventional neuroradiology department of Rothschild Foundation, Paris (2012-2015) and of Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital, Paris (2015-2017), after a clinical fellowship of two years in interventional neuroradiology at Rothschild Foundation (2010-2012). During this period I was involved in multiple clinical trials and in clinical research on cerebral and spinal vascular pathologies, with particular focus on medical devices for embolization of cerebral aneurysms.
I am originally from Italy, completed medical school at “ Università di Medicina e Chirurgia “ of Bologna in 2005 and speciality in radiology at “Università di Modena e Reggio-Emilia” in 2009.
