Kenny Lienhard joins the BISA team as doctoral researcher

On May 1, Kenny Lienhard joined the BISA team as doctoral researcher. He is a former student assistant and graduated from HEC Lausanne’s M.Sc. IS program in 2013. In his Master thesis, he developped a  systems theory approach for IS planning in hospitals, which has been applied in a field study and evaluated in expert interviews. Previously, he worked as a software developer at Legon Informatics Inc., where he collaborated with physicians from national and international hospitals in designing  mobile applications for routine patient care.

Kenny Lienhard will continue working on research topics related to IS planning and the innovative use of mobile technologies in the healthcare sector.

 

Swiss National Science Foundation Grant for Andrea Giessmann

Andrea Giessmann has won one of the highly coveted grants from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) in the Marie Heim-Vögtlin (MHV) program. Starting February 1, 2014, she changes jobs from the SAP Research Center in St. Gallen to the BISA lab at HEC Lausanne. Andrea is currently working towards her Ph.D degree in information systems, where her main research interests include cloud computing, platform as a service and platform-based business models.
