I am an Full Professor and the head of the Computational Phylogenetics group. I am also the former director (2017-2025) of the Department of Computational Biology that I helped to create and launched, the president of the scientific advisory board of the Division de Calcul et Soutien à la Recherche (DCSR) of the UNIL and the UNIL direction delegate for Artificial Intelligence.
After a PhD at Trinity College, Dublin, I did my postdocs at the University of Washington, Seattle and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. I’m a group leader and professor at the University of Lausanne since 2005.
