We are delighted to announce that our paper “Changes in Research Ethics, Openness, and Transparency in Empirical Studies between CHI 2017 and CHI 2022” has been accepted for presentation at the prestigious ACM CHI 2023 conference. This paper was the result of excellent group work between the lab members and we are thrilled to have had the opportunity to experience this.
This paper investigates the changes in research ethics, openness, and transparency in empirical studies between the CHI 2017 and CHI 2022 conferences. It also proposes a proof-of-concept screening system to explore the potential of assisting the verification process for these practices.
Through this research, we hope to contribute to the ongoing discussion on improving the quality and reproducibility of empirical studies in HCI.
