I am currently studying for a second Bachelor’s degree in English and Social Sciences at the University of Lausanne. Having an interdisciplinary background and an international experience, I am particularly interested in domains that allow for a multifaceted approach. The Language of the Labouring Poor in Late Modern England is an inspiring project to work in because it provides an opportunity to explore the language as well as some daily practices of paupers in the Late Modern England. I find the process of transformation of pauper letters written by hand by people 200 years ago into a corpus that can be analysed by means of the state-of-the art technology fascinating.
