Conférence ENPA 2026

From 22 to 25 April 2026, Vincent Mabillard, Julián Villodre and Raphaël Zumofen took part in the inaugural conference of the European Network for Public Administration (ENPA) in Bucharest. They presented two research papers:

Zumofen, R., Dubois, P., Mabillard, V., Villodre, J. (2026). Understanding municipal social media from the citizen perspective: Expectations of engagement and perceived local government’s responsiveness.
This paper looks at municipal social media from the citizens’ point of view, exploring what they expect in terms of engagement and how responsive they perceive their local government to be.

Mabillard, V., Villodre, J., Zumofen, R., Dubois, P. (2026). Pursuing municipal political participation through social media: the role of citizens’ perceived potential for participation with public administrations.
This paper examines whether social media can foster political participation at the municipal level, focusing on how citizens perceive their own potential to take part in exchanges with public administrations.
