Conférence EGPA 2025

From 26 to 29 August 2025, Vincent Mabillard, Julián Villodre and Raphaël Zumofen took part in the annual conference of the European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) in Glasgow. They presented two research papers:

Zumofen, R., Mabillard, V. (2025). Communication with citizens through social media influencers: Risks, benefits, and ethical boundaries in public organizations.
This paper addresses the growing use of social media influencers by public organizations to communicate with citizens, weighing the benefits and risks of this practice and discussing the ethical boundaries that should frame it.

Villodre, J., Mabillard, V., Dubois, P., Zumofen, R. (2025). Aligning citizen and government expectations on social media communication and engagement: the case of Quebec municipalities.
Drawing on the case of Quebec municipalities, this paper compares citizens’ and local governments’ expectations regarding social media communication and engagement, and identifies where they align and where they differ.
