Extension of the calls for paper until 30 April 2022

Dear colleagues,

We have received many contributions to the different congresses of the International Week of Education and Training (SIEF) and we want to thank all authors for their interest in this event. In the meantime, we received many questions, remarks, requests for information, reflecting the uncertainties with regard to the evolution of health context, the possibility to come in person, to travel to Switzerland etc.

To address these concerns, we have decided to leave the call for contributions open until 30 April 2022.

The developments in Switzerland are reassuring and we are confident that the conditions for an in-person conference will be met by the end of summer 2022.

  • As announced, the review of the contributions submitted in this first wave of submissions will start shortly, and we will inform authors of the result of the review process as soon as possible.
  • The contributions submitted later on will be progressively sent to the Reviewing Committee members. The review process should therefore take place as planned without unnecessary delays.
  • In case the conditions for an in-person conference are not met by next September (which is unlikely if we look at the situation back in September 2020 and 2021), we will postpone the SSRE and AREF congresses to 2023 and the contributions accepted will remain valid for the 2023 edition. The SIEF will in any case be held in person and not online.

On behalf of the SIEF organising committee, we look forward to seeing you all in Lausanne for this week of exchanges by the lake, bringing together these three education and training research conferences in a very special way.
