The University of Lausanne Reproducibility Network Event: 7th of June – 15h30 at UNIL
The goal of this event is to inform our local colleagues about the Swiss Reproducibility Network’s goals and initiatives as well as the effort to promote good research practices and open/reproducible science. Given the physical proximity of our institutions UNIL, CHUV, and EPFL, we thought it could be better to federate initiatives and resources in one common repository that could inform local scholars about training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The event is organized by the local node leaders: Prof. Mauro Cherubini and Prof. Meike Ramon. To animate the discussion, we have organized the following presentations:
15:30 – Prof. Meike Ramon (UNIL) – Welcome and introduction to the SwissRN
15:45 – Prof. Evie Vergauwe (UNIGE) – Swiss Reproducibility Network – what it is (for)?
16.00 – Swiss RN Academy – Reproducibility vs. replicability – and why it is surprisingly difficult
16:15 – Dr. Luca Chiapperino (UNIL) – Reproducibility is a Sociotechnial Issue
16:30 – Prof. Mauro Cherubini (UNIL) – Training on Good Research Practices
16:45 – Open discussion to exchange ideas
17:15 – Apero & networking
The event will take place on the 7th of June 2023, at 15h30 at the University of Lausanne in Room Ant. 2097 (map on planete.unil).
