RIVER recommendations – recruiting researchers as study participants

The National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement, and Reduction of Animals in Research (NC3Rs) is recruiting researchers for a study they are currently running. They are looking for researchers in the process of writing up a publication that includes in vitro experiments. They specifically need to recruit researchers based outside the UK and/or non-native English speakers.

Participants will be asked to road-test new reporting standards – the RIVER (Reporting In Vitro Experiments Responsibly) recommendations, which were developed to improve the reliability and reproducibility of published in vitro research. By taking part in the study, they will receive expert feedback on their manuscript, which will improve the transparency of their work and increase the chance of successful publication – and receive a £50 (Euro/USD equivalent) Amazon voucher for completing the study.

Key dates for the next recruitment round:

  • Get in touch by Friday, 2 August
  • Submit a draft manuscript by Wednesday, 26 August

For any further information, please get in touch with Nathalie Percie du Sert, also a member of the SwissRN advisory board.
