Ultrasound imaging is probably the most widespread and versatile diagnostic modality in clinics. The technique finds its application in preclinical research providing 2D and 3D, time-resolved and funcional imaging in a non-invasive way.
The IVIF is equipped with a VEVO 3100 from FujiFilm, especially designed for animal research. The MX550D transducer allows for an axial resolution of 40um. The installation includes the Vevo Imaging Station with a heated platform with integrated physiological monitoring.
