Xavier Sieber

Xavier Sieber joined the CHUV-UNIL Translational Magnetic Resonance Research Center as a PhD student in March 2021. He is working on RF pulse design for fat suppression using deep learning and optimisation techniques. 

Xavier graduated from EPFL in 2020 with a master in Microengineering, majoring in photonics. For his master thesis, he worked on recurrent neural networks for multimode fiber imaging at MIT in the 3D optical system lab. It is while working on that project that he developed a strong interest in optimization and deep learning methods.

Besides work, Mr Sieber enjoys soccer, rock music and cracking open a cold one with his friends.
