Isabel Montón Quesada is a PhD student at the CHUV-UNIL Translational Magnetic Resonance Research Center since June 2022. She is working under the supervision of Dr. Ruud Van Heeswijk on motion-resolved high-dimensional cardiovascular tissue characterization.
Throughout her academic life, she became very interested in medical imaging and signal processing and analysis. She obtained her bachelor in Biomedical Engineering (2018) in Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Her final degree project consisted in the implementation of algorithms for obtaining and processing intracranial signals from the hippocampus in patients with drug-resistant epilepsy. Afterwards, during her master thesis in KU Leuven (2020), she developed a semi-automatic pipeline to segment pulmonary segments in CT for maximal tissue preserving surgeries in oncological patients.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing music and sports.
