Ilaria Brovedani joined the Translational Magnetic Resonance Research Center at Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) in September 2025 as a PhD student. Her doctoral research is part of a collaboration between CHUV and Siemens Healthineers AG Switzerland. She works under the supervision of Dr. Matthias Stuber and Dr. Anh Van from the Radiology and Radiodiagnostic Department at CHUV, and Dr. Marco Müller from Siemens Healthineers.
She holds a Master’s degree in Bioengineering, with a specialization in modeling and data analysis, from the University of Padova. Her thesis, titled “FastPET reconstruction in whole-body molecular imaging,” was developed during a six-month collaboration between Bern University Hospital (Inselspital) and Siemens Healthineers AG, under the guidance of Dr. Hasan Sari. This work led to an abstract that was accepted for oral e-poster presentation at the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) conference in Barcelona in October 2025.
Her current research focuses on liver imaging using low-field MRI technology.
Outside of her academic work, Ilaria is passionate about sports—she enjoys playing football and skiing in her free time.
