Efena joined the CHUV-UNIL Translational Magnetic Resonance Research Center as a PhD candidate in August 2023. He is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Christopher Roy, focusing on the optimization of existing 5D flow sequences.
He earned his MSc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Basel during which he developed interest in medical imaging, with a focus on Magnetic Resonance Imaging. During his master’s thesis, he worked in Dr. Santini’s group on 4D flow for musculoskeletal applications, where he developed a semi automatic pipeline for the visualisation of 4D flow datasets.
Outside of work he enjoys football, reading, music and good food.
