Adèle is a postdoctoral fellow working on novel research developments at low-field strength, using the 0.55T research scanner inaugurated at CHUV in December 2023. She works with Dr. Christopher Roy and in close collaboration with clinical fellows of the CHUV, focusing on lung imaging and low-field neurovascular interventional applications.

Adèle studied theoretical physics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) and at King’s College London (KCL). She graduated from EPFL with a MSc degree in Physics in 2019.

She joined the CHUV-UNIL Translational Magnetic Resonance Research Center in 2019, where she worked on the topic of fat suppression, water-fat separation and quantification with MRI, notably using free-running techniques. She pursued and defended her PhD thesis on this topic under the supervision of Prof. Jessica Bastiaansen, head of the Laboratory for Quantitative MR Imaging Science at the University of Bern, Switzerland. Adèle’s PhD work has applications that range from musculo-skeletal and liver imaging to both anatomical and parametric cardiovascular MRI.
