We are happy to welcome Maria Lamprakopoulu, who joined our group in May as a PhD student!
Maria holds an MSc in Pharmacy and brings great enthusiasm for analytical science and metabolomics. Her PhD project will focus on microbiome-derived lipids, from structural characterization to quantitative profiling across a diverse range of human biofluids. Her work will include challenging matrices such as breast milk and feces, helping us better understand how microbial metabolites contribute to human health.
As new discoveries on the microbiome derived metabolome continue to emerge at an incredible pace, we are excited to translate these findings into highly specific, robust, and quantitative analytical methods.
