We are excited to announce that Prof. Monideepa Tarafdar from University of Massachusetts Amherst, will be delivering a seminar on Cognitive primacy in human-LLM partnerships.

Abstract: From AI-based decision making to Gen-AI enabled everyday tasks, algorithms are inexorably becoming partners in humans’ work. My presentation will broadly address how humans can retain cognitive primacy in a world of AI-infused work processes.  I will present different problematized contexts of human-LLM interaction and then show why focusing on the human is as essential compensatory approach.
