Our Mission
The mission of the “Data Stewardship Biomed Unit” (DSBU) is to equip researchers of the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of UNIL and CHUV with the skills, tools, and processes necessary to produce and manage data and metadata in accordance with FAIR principles, with a view to their sharing and preservation.
Specific Objectives
- Facilitate and harmonize the management and sharing of research data in accordance with FAIR standards and national and international policies.
- Optimize researchers’ time for the preparation of data and metadata.
- Ensure the interoperability and automation of curation and documentation processes to maintain the consistency of large-scale meta(data).
- Offer support for clinical research with a focus on metadata management for sensitive data.
- Adopt financially efficient and sustainable data preservation practices to counter the rapid increase in storage costs.
