On May 29, Professor. Zavolokina will be sitting on the jury for the GovTech Hackathon 2026 in Bern, and she expresses genuine curiosity about what happens when you bring together developers, government experts, and civil society advocates around a single question: what can we build with public data?
The hackathon theme “Exploiting data, generating impact” sounds straightforward, but it’s really quite ambitious. The best solutions at hackathons are often the ones no one predicted. They come from someone asking “what if?” in a slightly different way.
