The Cabane des Diablerets, guarded by Céline and its dog, is located in the Canton de Vaud. Late 2021, under her initiative, she contacted Bastien that she knew was studying the Tsanfleuron glacier, lying just above the hut. Together they organised a free mini-conference at the cabane in January 2022. The talk was entitled “Ce glacier sous nos pieds” and targeted the people staying at the hut for the night. The objective was not only to introduce the group’s work up there but also to explain how and why glaciers are important, even more for Switzerland which strongly depends on them on a lot of different aspects.
