Research

We are a diverse team of researchers working with a variety of applied geophysical methods. Some of our members focus on data processing and inversion, developing novel algorithms and imaging techniques, whereas others are working towards new and exciting ways of acquiring data in the through advances in instrumentation.

One particularly exciting recent development is the construction of a drone-based ground-penetrating radar (GPR) system for high-resolution, high-density surveying of alpine glaciers. With this instrument, we are able to conduct such surveys with unprecedented efficiency and safety, allowing large and glaciologically relevant datasets to be acquired.
