During the summer members of the research team got hold of a number of manuscripts from the archives in Bern (Bibliothèque de la Bourgeoisie de Berne), Warsaw (AGAD, Central Archives of Historical Records) and Wroclaw (Ossolineum). Among these were the numerous submissions for the prize essay competition Esprit de la Législation which, for various reasons, were not awarded prizes and consequently did not go into print. Additionally, we assembled some correspondence by people connected to the competition and the Bernese Economic Society in general, such as the correspondence between Joseph Mniszech and Vincenz Bernhard Tscharner.
