DESI Seminar: Significance Affordance Theory (SAT)

We are excited to announce that Professor Devinder Thapa from the University of Agder, Norway, will be delivering a seminar on Significance Affordance Theory (SAT).

This talk will focus on the limitations of traditional affordance theory in information systems research and propose a new, enriched framework that incorporates significance and meaning. Drawing on the work of Gibson and Heidegger’s phenomenology, Professor Thapa aims to provide a more comprehensive understanding of how humans engage with technology in sociotechnical systems.
