Lara is originally from the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Always interested in the nature that surrounds her, she enrolled at the University of Lausanne in Natural Environment Sciences to learn more. She is currently finishing her Bachelor’s degree and her Bachelor thesis, supervised by James, deals with coupling glacier flow and GPR modeling to investigate whether time-lapse GPR data can be used to estimate internal ice velocities. In her free time, she does wildlife and event photography. She is also a member of the national Swiss tchoukball team.
