Margaux and Simon at the Keystone Symposium in Banff

In their last year of PhD, Margaux and Simon attended the Human Microbiome: From Models and Mechanism to Medicine Keystone Symposium in Banff, Canada. They both had the opportunity to present their research during the poster sessions, which were truly engaging.

Margaux presented her latest results on strain-level transmission and resistome dynamics in a mother-child cohort in Laos PDR, while Simon presented his findings in the strain-level translocation and enrichment dynamics of oral bacteria in the lower gastrointestinal tract of stunted children from Central African Republic. Stay tuned for the publications!

Margaux and Simon would like to thank everyone who took time to discuss during the poster sessions as well as all the strangers who became friends during the conference.
