Raphael Zumofen was invited to speak at the European Week of Regions and Cities in October 2022. He discussed the digital tools that facilitate citizen participation, particularly via social networks. In his view, despite their interactive potential, cities make little use of these platforms to engage in real dialogue with citizens, due to limited resources and interests. He also spoke about his research into the digitisation of public services and the adoption of social networks in different regions.
