Winter School for young researchers taking place on January 24th – 29th, 2027, in Pesaro, Italy

Goal

Give young researchers the opportunity to present their findings in a friendly environment, to meet and speak to researchers in other disciplines working on similar topics and to receive feedback from a few well-known experts in their field about the relevance of their work both in academia and practice.

Targeted audience

Young researchers (PhD students and researchers, academics, practitioners within 5 years of PhD graduation) across disciplines, such as actuarial science, demography, insurance, mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, biology and economics.

Structure

The structure of the Winter School will consist in opening experts presentations (45 min), contributed talks (20 to 30 min) by participating young researchers, followed by panel discussions.

Registration fee

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the registration (& hotel) fee is set at only €700 (Euro) per participant (or €500 for students with limited budget). The fee includes:

1. Accommodation from Sunday January 24th to Friday January 29th, 2027 (5 nights)
2. Breakfast from Monday to Friday
3. Lunch from Monday to Friday
4. Dinner from Sunday to Thursday
5. Excursion on Wednesday afternoon
